The Constituency of South Guadalcanal in Solomon Islands has a new MP.
He is Victor Totu, the former director of the Guandalcanal Provinces Cultural Affairs Division.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation says he polled 728 .... a majority of 141 over his nearest rival.
The seat became vacant after the murder of Father Augustine Geve last year.
