A passenger was taken away in an ambulance and a driver was reportedly injured after when a Wellington bus drove into the back of another bus today.
St Johns said a passenger was taken away in an ambulance following the crash, which happened about midday on the corner of Willis St and Lambton Quay.
The manager of a nearby Sunglass Hut store Campbell Upton said he saw the the accident.
"One of the buses stopped quite suddenly and the bus behind it went straight into the back.
"The entire windscreen of the other bus was completely smashed, the driver sort of went into the steering wheel so it looks like he got whiplash from that."
Mr Upton said this was the third time it had happened this year, and he blamed it on buses travelling too closely together.
