Waikato convincingly beat North Harbour 42-22 in the New Zealand provincial rugby championship, the ITM Cup, at Albany on Sunday.
The sides went into the break after a tight first half with Waikato leading 11-7.
In the second half the floodgates opened and Waikato threatened to run away with it after a succession of quick tries but North Harbour managed a consolation try to ease the scoreline.
