Tana Umaga continues to wow the crowds in France

07:10 am on 6 November 2006

Former All Black captain Tana Umaga went some way further to justifying his enormous salary at France second division club Toulon, scoring the match-winning try against Dax.

With Dax leading 16-15 with 10 minutes to play, Umaga powered over for a try to delight the 12,000-strong home crowd.

The 33-year-old centre, reported to be earning over 380-thousand US dollars while he takes a temporary leave of absence from the game in New Zealand, also scored Toulon's only try in his winning debut last week.

The win moves Toulon into fourth position in the highly competitive league on 24 points, two behind Dax, but still 10 and 11 points adrift of Auch and leaders Bezier respectively.
