A body has been found near State Highway 25 in a Waikato town this morning.
Police said the body was found in Waitakaruru, near the Firth of Thames.
They said they were unable to confirm the identity of the body until after the formal identification process was complete.
Yesterday, police called on the public to help locate a 65-year-old man from the area who had been missing since 1 September.
