Listen

Yesterday we reported on the anger in Ōtara at the rise in gun violence in the area.

Last Friday, 23-year-old Faaifo Siaosi was fatally shot, almost a month after another deadly shooting on Darnell Crescent less than three kilometres away.

We spoke further to the Counties-Manukau East Area Commander Inspector Wendy Spiller on Monday.

She told RNZ reporter Katie Doyle says large scale operations are under way to quell the gun violence in South Auckland.
