A non-verbal child who was reported missing in Taupō has been found safe and well.
In a statement, police said they were looking for six-year-old Maitrey, who had gone missing around 1.30pm.
The boy was non-verbal and had last been seen on Ruapehu Street.
On social media, Bay of Plenty & Taupō Police said he had been located safe and well.
"Our grateful thanks go to the people who helped look for him, including the wonderful person who found him."
