Two British military police officers, and two social workers have been sent to the tiny island of Pitcairn to prepare for an historic child sex trial.
The Australian newspaper reports that they have also been given powers to remove any child from their parents if they fear for the child's welfare.
Seven Island men still living on Pitcairn face 96 charges of unlawful sexual relations with children under 16.
Three New Zealand based judges have been appointed to hear their trial on Pitcairn in September.
