The country's first mass vaccination event in Auckland, where 16,000 people are due to receive a Covid-19 vaccine, is taking place over the next three days.
However, the event today seemed to be behind schedule and people vented their frustrations on social media.
One person on Twitter said it was an 'absolute shambles'.
Meanwhile, Manukau ward councillor Efeso Collins said there had not been enough input from the local community in organising the event.
"I'm getting people who are texting me saying that there are long wait times at one person in particular has been told that they'd be waiting for at least an hour," he said.
"I'm really disappointed that the Ministry of Health for DHB, whoever it is that's running this massive vaccination event hasn't thought about how to engage with the local organisations so that they can take the word into the community."
