Greymouth police are seeking information about a home invasion in Barrytown by two armed men.
They say it happened at about 3am Thursday morning, at a semi-rural property, with one person receiving minor injuries.
Detective Kirsten Norton has described the actions of the offenders as sinister and extremely dangerous.
But she says this incident isn't thought to be a random event, and there are no concerns for other local residents.
