The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – which this week announced its latest inductees which includes Nirvana, Kiss, and Yusuf Islam (aka Cat Stevens) – has been slammed by a libertarian author who calls it an "abomination of taxpayer dollars" and a "disgrace to the great God of rock."

In this Daily Beast article, Nick Gillespie argues his two main objections against the pyramid-shaped hall in Cleveland, Ohio.

First, he lays out his objection to having his US taxpayer dollars going towards the Hall of Fame, claiming that if Rock and Roll was doing it's job it would be an enemy of the state, as opposed to a beneficiary of it.

Secondly, he says Rock and Roll, in all it's rebellious glory, shouldn't need a hall of fame if it's to stay true to itself.
