The New Zealand women's cricket team blew a great chance to share the Rose Bowl one-day series yesterday with Australia who won another high-scoring fourth game in Sydney by just seven runs.
The Southern Stars scored an impressive 267 for 9, but the White Ferns were well on course for victory at 220 for 3 in the 43rd over before losing 5 wickets for 34 to give the home team a 3-1 win in the series.
New Zealand had won the opening game of the series.
The two teams will meet again next month for three Twenty20 matches before the one-day World Cup starting late next month in India.
