That's how the actions of Christchurch eye surgeon Ian Dallison were described in the High Court this morning as he was sentenced for the attempted murder of his former landlord.
Dallison received six years and 10 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to several charges, including attempted murder and wounding with intent.
