The National Party remains above 50% support in two television polls released on Thursday, though it has dropped slightly in both.
In a TV One-Colmar Burnton Poll, National is on 53% support - down one point - and Labour has dropped to 26%.
National experienced a bigger fall in the 3 News-Reid Research poll, from 53.3% support to 50.2%. Labour fell to is on 27.4%.
In both polls, the Green Party is on 13% and is still the only smaller party registering above the 5% threshold needed to enter Parliament without winning an electorate seat.
New Zealand First drops in the One News-Colmar Brunton poll to 2.2% and rises in the 3 News-Reid Research survey to 3.5%.
ACT goes up slightly in both, to 1.6% and 1.8% respectively .
The polls surveyed 1000 people and have a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%.
