The Cook Islands Chief Justice, Sir Hugh Williams, has reserved his decision on an electoral petition for the Atiu seat of Tengatangi-Areora-Ngatiarua.
The Democratic Party's Nandi Glassie had filed the petition against Te-Hani Brown, alleging the successful candidate had effectively bribed voters ahead of the vote on 18 March.
The Cook Islands News reports the petition was heard yesterday.
Mr Glassie's contention is that one of Te-Hani Brown's electoral agents had covered the cost of a chartered aircraft to carry voters to Atiu, but Ms Brown's defence is that this doesn't constitute bribery.
