New Zealand-born former England international Thomas Waldrom has announced his retirement from rugby.
The 35-year-old loose forward spent one final season with home province Wellington this year after nearly a decade in England playing for Leicester Tigers and Exeter Chiefs.
Nicknamed Thomas 'the Tank Engine', Waldrom's professional career spanned 17 years, including stints with the Hurricanes and Crusaders.
He played four tests for England from 2012-2013.
Waldrom grew up in Wellington and attended St Patricks College in Silverstream with older brother and former New Zealand sevens player Scott Waldrom.
