Christchurch police are making inquiries into reports of gunshots last night.
Police went to Gayhurst Road in the suburb of Dallington about 10.30pm.
A spokesperson says no one was injured.
On 2 December the Gun City store in the Christchurch suburb of Redwood was ram raided. A nearby store owner told RNZ at the time he was concerned those guns could be used in future robberies in stores.
