Roosters enforcer hopeful of facing Manly

14:43 pm on 28 August 2010

The Sydney Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is hopeful a last-minute fitness test will clear him for a battle royale with former NRL rugby league club Manly on Sunday.

The 193cm monster has missed the past fortnight with a calf injury, but it is believed coach Brian Smith is so keen to get the enforcer back to rescue their faltering season that Waerea-Hargreaves will be given until game day to be passed fit.

He will consult with Smith and a physiotherapist before making the final decision.
