Honda NZ recalls more cars over possible airbag fault

12:23 pm on 6 May 2016

Honda New Zealand is recalling an additional 5000 cars because of a possible fault with the airbags.

It comes as car manufacturers in the United States recall another 35 to 40 million airbag inflators made by the Japanese company Takata.

Last July, Honda New Zealand announced it would be recalling just over 30,000 cars including Civic, Jazz and Accord models due to possible faults with Takata supplied airbags.

National service manager Bryan Davis said the latest recall was for Honda Civic and Honda Legend models between 2006 and 2012.
