A former High Court Judge has today been sworn in as the new Attorney General for Solomon Islands.
James Apaniai replaces the outgoing attorney general Billy Titiulu who served two governments during his tenure.
Mr Apaniai, who is from Malaita stepped down as a High Court Judge to contest in last year's National General elections but was unsuccessful.
He took his oath of office before the Governor General Sir Frank Kabui at government house this morning in Honiara.
