The All Blacks Sevens have won successive tournaments on the world series after seeing off Argentina 22-12 in a tense final in Los Angeles.

New Zealand scored four tries to two, including a double to player of the final Leroy Carter, both inside the two minutes before halftime.

Up 17-0 at the break, New Zealand struggled to get their hands on the ball, allowing Argentina to pull with five points through tries to Tobias Wade and Agustin Frage.

However, the All Blacks Sevens controlled possession cleverly over the closing stages and created a smart team try to Brady Rush in the final act of the game.

Moses Leo opened the scoring, scorching 90m for his try in the fourth minute.

Victory avenged New Zealand's loss to Argentina in the final of their home tournament in Hamilton in January.

It also comes a month after their triumph at the Sydney tournament, pushing them further clear on the world series standings after six of 11 tournaments.

The All Blacks Sevens tally 107 points, well clear of Argentina and South Africa, who share second place on 86 points.

Earlier on Monday, New Zealand beat Great Britain 24-12 in the quarter-finals and outclassed Australia 33-17 in the semi-finals
