Papua New Guinea has secured the rights to host the 2015 Pacific Games.
This was confirmed after the Pacific Games Council meeting in Rarotonga, where Papua New Guinea secured 25 votes to Tonga's 22.
Solomon Islands pulled out of the bidding race last week.
The PNG government committed to providing 100 million US dollars to host the games if its bid won.
