Remote villages in Fiji's Yasawa island group now have a reliable water supply thanks to a project completed in time for Christmas.
Najia and Yakani are neighbouring villages on the island of Viwa, to the west of the main Yasawa chain of islands.
Their only natural source of fresh water is rainwater collection.
This year, Habitat for Humanity Fiji secured funding from Australia and New Zealand to supply more tanks and repair gutters and downpipes.
Habitat for Humanity says the work effectively doubles the island's water supply and avoids the expensive shipping of emergency water in periods of drought.
