Sophie Devine will line up in the WPL Twenty20 league final after her Royal Challengers Bangalore team scraped past the Mumbai Indians by five runs in a knockout match on Saturday.

Opener Devine scored 10 as Bangalore posted 135-6 in the elimination final in Delhi, before a Mumbai side featuring fellow-White Fern Amelia Kerr fell short at 130-6, having looked on target for victory for much of their chase.

Kerr was left unbeaten on 27 off 25 balls but she struggled to get the strike and to find the boundary over the closing stages after Mumbai had reached a position where they needed just 20 runs off 18 overs with seven wickets still in hand.

Wickets fell at inopportune times, leaving Kerr having to hit a six off the final ball to tie the scores and set up a Super Over decider.

However, she only managed a single, eliminating the defending champions and sending Bangalore into Monday morning's final against the top-qualifying Delhi Capitals in Delhi.
