15:37 pm on 19 September 2019

Two more suspected cases of dengue fever are being monitored on Guam, as authorities accelerate their efforts to contain the outbreak.

A state of emergency was declared in the territory last week after the discovery of the first locally-acquired case of dengue in 75 years.

A major clean-up of areas with stagnant water has begun, and schools and other public areas have been sprayed with insecticide.
