CASA looking into Jetstar

14:44 pm on 9 July 2011

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority in Australia is looking into safety concerns over maintenance at Jetstar.

The Qantas subsidiary took two planes out of service on Thursday after their crews reported a mix-up over the timing of maintenance.

It's the second low cost airline to be investigated by the authority this month.

Tiger Airways was grounded on 2 July over safety concerns. The CASA has sought an extension of the grounding until 1 August.
