Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with the shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Hamilton last Thursday night.
The boy was not seriously injured but needed medical attention in hospital.
Teina Williams, a member of the Mongrel Mob, was arrested about 1am at a Hamilton address.
A warrant had been out for the 25-year old's arrest since the shooting in Norrie Street last week.
Mr Saunders says the police would be speaking to him today, ahead of his court appearance tomorrow morning.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Saunders said the police have been actively pursuing him but they are still investigating the shooting.
