A community health centre providing affordable healthcare will be built on the Northern Marianas island of Tinian.
The US Department of Health granted $US650,000 for the centre, giving it four months to start providing services.
The Kagman Community Health Centre on the island of Saipan applied for the grant on behalf of Tinian, which currently only has one health clinic.
The Kagman centre has been up and running for several years now, providing the village and environs affordable healthcare.
In all, the health department awarded more than $US50million to 77 health centres, to expand access to affordable, accessible, quality and cost-effective health care services.
