Covid-19 cases among an Air Tahiti Nui crew have prompted one of its airliners to be flown from Los Angeles back to Papeete without any passengers.
Local television said the crew had been placed in a hotel for a seven-day quarantine.
The head of the airline said this was not the first such incident and wouldn't be the last as Covid-19 was now found in all major businesses.
With more than 2000 active cases in French Polynesia, a nine-hour curfew had been reintroduced on behest of the French government, but it has again been adjusted.
It will apply to Moorea and Tahiti only and be lifted at 4am instead of 6am to allow more people to go to work.
The hospitality sector regretted the measure, saying a 9pm curfew wasn't helpful.
The virus has spread to all archipelagos, with a case reported in Mangareva in the Gambier islands.
