A 55-year-old Palmerston North man has not been seen for five days, and Hawke's Bay police are concerned for his safety.
Peter Koziol left Palmerston North early Monday planning to fish the Waipawa River, before returning home.
He was last seen by the Waipawa bridge on State Highway 2 about midday that day with his vehicle, a blue Ford Falcon, ZG4508, which has since been recovered by the police.
Police would welcome any news of Mr Koziol, who's described as a bald Caucasian man who wears glasses.
He may have a blue backpack and full-body brown PVC waders on, police said.
