One person has died in a crash between a truck and a vehicle on State Highway 11, near Haruru in the Far North.
A section of the highway was closed, but has now reopened.
Police said the driver of the vehicle died at the scene and two occupants of the truck sustained moderate injuries.
Police acknowledged the public's understanding and cooperation while enquiries were carried out at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
