Heavy rain in American Samoa has contaminated wells with dirty water forcing the local power authority to shut them down.
This has resulted in low water pressure for many parts of the main island, Tutuila.
A spokesperson for the authority, William Spitzenberg, said it usually takes a few days to flush out the wells.
However, Mr Spitzenberg said the authority is not sure when the situation will be rectified.
People in the area are being reminded to continue boiling water before consumption.
