A 51-year-old man has been charged with murder following a death in Omanawa, near Tauranga.

Western Bay of Plenty area investigations manager Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Rawlinson identified the victim as 30-year-old Jamin Roemaata Harrison of Tauranga who was found dead on 25 January.
The 51-year-old man is due to appear in Tauranga District Court next on 24 February.
Rawlinson thanked the public who assisted police with the investigation.
