A 6.3-magnitude earthquake has hit south of Raoul Island.
GeoNet says the quake occurred at 10.24am on Saturday and was centred 910km north-east of Whakatane.
It was at a depth of 33 kilometres.
Initial reports had the quake at a magnitude of 5.4. Geonet's duty seismologist said there is no tsunami risk to New Zealand.
