As Muslims in Fiji and New Zealand celebrate Eid today, they have been urged to remember the less fortunate in society.
The president of the Masjid Ul-Halil Mosque in Fiji, Abu-Bakr Sadiq Koya, said Eid marks the end of Ramadan - a month of fasting and prayer.
He said Islam follows the lunar calendar and Ramadan is dictated by sightings of the hilal or the crescent moon.
"And we are also supposed to see our poor people who do not have enough food and clothes so we should visit them so they also can have enough to celebrate Eid," Mr Koya said.
