Police name cyclist who died in Flat Bush crash

Police have named the cyclist who died in a crash involving an off-duty police officer in the Auckland suburb of Flat Bush.

The crash happened on Stancombe Road just before 8.15am on Saturday and the cyclist died at the scene.

He was David Lane, 69, of Remuera.

The investigation was ongoing, a police spokesperson said.

The crash involved the cyclist, a moving vehicle and multiple parked vehicles. The officer was stood down from duty while an investigation was carried out.
