The World Bank has set out a four year plan to assist with the development of eleven Pacific Island nations.
The World Bank's Vice President for East Asia and the Pacific, Axel van Trotsenburg, says focus will be on infrastructure development, disaster resilience, health and education.
But he warns regional integration is needed to achieve higher living standards for the Pacific's most vulnerable.
"It is important that we all as an international community, stay focused on the Pacific Island countries. They have major challenges from the economic to climate change. And it is important that we stand together, in support of their development aspirations and efforts."
