Homewares and sporting goods retailer Briscoe Group expects to report a record full-year profit because of solid sales.
The company, which runs the Briscoes and Rebel Sports stores, had a solid fourth quarter and overall good year of sales growth.
It made $603.1 million in the year end January, up 3.5 percent on the previous year, with sporting sales rising faster than homewares.
As a result, the company expects a record full-year profit of around $61m, up from last year's $59.4m.
Managing director Rod Duke said the company had been performing well despite tough competition.
"Our traditional store format and promotional campaigns continue to resonate with our customers ...this was particularly evident during Black Friday and Boxing Day - both were record days for us," he said.
Mr Duke added online sales climbed about 30 percent on the previous year.
The company will release its full-year results on 12 March.
