Kawerau police have arrested a woman and recovered around $70,000 worth of methamphetamine in a drug operation.
Police found more than 70 grams of the drug, plus utensils, equipment, a firearm and $4000 in cash when they searched a house.
A 35-year-old woman was due to appear in Tauranga District Court tomorrow on charges relating to the supply of methamphetamine.
Sergeant Al Fenwick said police were pleased to have been able to remove such a large quantity of the drug from circulation.
"Police, with the support of our partners and the Kawerau community, remain committed to a methamphetamine-free Kawerau," Sergeant Fenwick said.
