Four guards at a juvenile detention centre in American Samoa have been arrested, apparently in relation to the exchange of drugs at the centre.
The guards, from the centre at Tafuna, were to appear in court on Saturday alongside an 18-year-old detainee who was also arrested.
Our correspondent says the arrests are the result of an investigation led by the former corrections commissioner, Save Liuato Tuitele, over allegations that drugs were exchanged during visitors hours.
The probe was continued under the new commissioner, Le'i Sonny Thompson.
