Reef's failure no handicap for Samoa nonu producer

The manager of Samoa nonu exporter, Pure Pacifika Ltd, Masuisui Jr Pereira, says their operation will not be affected by the demise of its parent company, Reef Group.

Reef went into receivership this week.

Pure Pacifika was set up by Reef to supply huge volumes of Samoan organic nonu juice to overseas markets.

Masuisui has told the Samoa Observer the receivership will not affect Pure Pacifika in any way.

He says the company sent a 5,000 litre shipment of nonu to Japan last month and another shipment earlier this month.

Reef, whose receivership is being handled by PricewaterhouseCoopers, has been providing shipping services to at least ten Pacific countries.

It also has fishing operations and a nonu farm on Niue.
