Two people have been injured, one seriously, in a fight in the Hawke's Bay town of Waipukurau on Saturday night.
Police said officers were called to a business about 8.30pm after reports of a large group fighting.
One person was found with moderate injuries, and was transported to hospital to be assessed.
Police said further fighting then broke out, and another person was seriously injured.
Attendees were then dispersed.
Police launched an investigation, saying they were following positive lines of enquiry.
But they still wanted to hear from anyone who might have any information about the fight. Those with information are urged to call 105 and reference event number P059821776.
