Two police officers in Fiji have been charged with aggravated robbery.
The Public Prosecutor alleges the pair stole $US225 from a man after approaching him on Valley Road in Sigatoka.
Karim Begg and Roneel Ravinesh Chand were jointly charged by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde, with one count of aggravated robbery.
It was alleged that prior to stealing the money, the two police officers applied some force on the victim.
The case will now be called in the Suva High Court on 8 May.
Earlier this week in a separate case, three suspended police officers accused of assaulting a man last year, pleaded not guilty in the Suva High Court.
Nine other officers are also suspended pending an investigation into a different alleged assault last month.
