The New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has made the third round of the Pattaya Open in Thailand.
After a rained out third day, the unseeded Erakovic returned to the court yesterday and posted another straight sets win, beating the local wild card entry Varatchaya Wongteanchai 6-3 7-6.
Her third round opponent will be the German 5th seed Sabine Lisicki.
The top seed Ana Ivanovic from Serbia was knocked out in her first round match by the unseeded Japanese Ayumi Morita.
