14:36 pm on 22 October 2013

A bus driver in Samoa accused of causing the deaths of two children and injuring more than 30 passengers has admitted to two counts of manslaughter.

The manslaughter charge was filed by the prosecution after earlier charges of dangerous driving causing death were withdrawn.

The defendant, Moe Iosua, appeared today in the supreme court before Justice Slicer where he entered his guilty plea.

In July the bus he was driving got swept away by strong river currents when he tried to cross a ford.
