Police are seeking witnesses to a hit and run in Wairarapa early yesterday morning.

A 42-year-old man was found unconscious on High Street in Carterton, and flown to Wellington hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Police say a number of cars have been spotted on CCTV footage and they hope any witnesses - or the driver involved - will come forward.
