Amandeep Kaur spoke of a man demanding money before stabbing her husband and running off with his phone, a trial has been told.
Sandeep Singh, a cousin of the dead man, Davender Singh, today gave evidence in the High Court in Auckland where Davender Singh's wife and her lover, Amandeep Kaur and Gurjinder Singh, are on trial for murder.
Sandeep Singh got a call from Ms Kaur who asked him to come quickly to the bus depot in Manukau, he said.
He arrived a short time later with another cousin where they found Davender in his car with his throat cut and blood throughout the car, the court was told.
Sandeep Singh said he felt for a pulse and held Davender Singh before the ambulance arrived.
He also said Ms Kaur told them a man had demanded money from them before stabbing Davender and stealing his phone.
But the Crown said it was Ms Kaur and Gurjinder Singh who carried out the murder in August last year.
