A parole hearing for rapist Stewart Murray Wilson has been adjourned pending an upcoming court hearing.
Wilson is serving a 21-year sentence for multiple rape and other offences.
He was released on parole in late 2012, but recalled to prison early last year for breaching some conditions.
The Parole Board said he wanted to return to the residence he had in Whanganui before his recall.
It said that, having met Wilson earlier this month, it is satisfied he was endeavouring to co-operate with a psychologist.
But he has a defended hearing next month relating to the parole breach and the board wants to see the outcome of that before reassessing him for parole.
