Three people have been injured, one critically, after a kitchen caught fire in south Auckland's Manurewa.
Multiple people called emergency services to the scene shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday, a Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.
Firefighters arrived at a two-storey apartment block and found the fire had started in the kitchen on the first floor.
Three people had to be taken to hospital, a St John spokesperson said.
One was in a critical condition and two had moderate injuries.
Fire investigators and police were called to the scene and were probing the cause of the blaze, the Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.
