Five of the Powerball players who won a $7.18 million share of the $50 million jackpot are from Auckland; the other two are from Hamilton and Hastings.

The winning tickets were sold at:

- Woolworths Metro, Auckland
- Royal Oak Mall Lotto, Auckland
- MyLotto (x2), Auckland
- Shop Rite Dairy, Hamilton
- New World, Hastings
Strike Four was won last night by a player from Auckland, who took home $600,000. The winning ticket was sold at Jalaram Dairy in Auckland.
Each $7.18m prize was made up of $7.155,649 from the first division Powerball, and the second division prize of $7,180,041.
